Teaching Invoicing
Effective August 1, 2025, SCY subcontractors are paid according to the SCY Experience Assessment. Teachers will be invited annually to review and update their SCY experience assessment to reflect any new education or professional development, if applicable. SCY subcontractors are paid $25/ hour for attending program related meetings or required training.
Cancellations:
If the teacher is on site and the facility closes, cancellation is given less than 1 hour in advance, or no students attend, teachers will be compensated at their normal teaching rate.
For classes on Saturdays or Sundays: If the teacher must cancel class due to personal circumstances, the teacher is responsible for contacting the program partner to cancel class.
At times, emergencies such as severe weather or power failures can disrupt the SCY weekly schedule. If schools are closed or if there is a citywide parking ban in the town/city where the facility is located, SCY will cancel class. For classes that fall on the weekend, the SCY teacher has the authority to cancel class at least one hour prior to class time. If this choice is made, teachers are asked to follow these steps:
SCY teacher alerts the program partner by phoning the designated contact for the class (check Intake Forms for contact info).
Email Sheila and the program partner regarding the class cancellation.
If a program partner cancels class, SCY will let the SCY teacher know as soon as possible.
Paydays:
All teachers are paid biweekly via direct deposit. Please alert the Staff immediately with any changes of address to prevent delayed payment.
Compensation:
It is the teacher’s responsibility to accurately record and report teaching time to submit for compensation. Each teacher must fill out the SCY online invoice form (you will find the form below).
We ask that you complete your invoice within 48 hours of teaching class. This form will track hours, location, date, time, and quick basic stats on your participants. This information is vital for funding opportunities.
